Canada Day Long Weekend 2024

A fabulous Canada Day long weekend in the books and it also marks the official first weekend of summer. Jason and I went to a cottage with our closest friends for 4 glorious days. There is nothing like jumping in your car and feeling the stress of the city melt away as you drive towards cottage country.  We live for cottages in the summer. We typically air bnb atleast 3-4 cottages a summer - long weekends & typically at week long with family and friends.  We like to change it up, visit different areas so that there is always something new to look forward too.  For the long weekend in May we rented an air bnb near Friday Harbour that had a pickleball court in the backyard.  This long weekend we rented a cottage in Washago which had a garage full of fun games like air hockey, ping pong, carnival basketball, corn hole and so much more. Clearly you can see a theme here, we like to stay entertained :). Long weekends for us is our time to get away, unplug and spend quality time with our loved ones. Now, that doesn't always mean we can't work, because you all know us, we are available all of the time.  Luckily in this career choice, we can technically work from anywhere which is the beauty of it.  So this weekend Jason was in an offer while sitting on the dock.  Sometimes, we can't always unplug but it's not a bad place to work from!  Now of course, much of the time spent at the cottage is cooking and eating.  I can cook for hours and I LOVE every minute of it.  This weekend we made homemade pizza, ribs, hot honey corn, grilled ceasar, bugers, tomato basil pasta & chicken piccata.  No one leaves the cottage hungry, that much I promise every single time!
