“The most amazing and hard working agents we have ever encountered. The value we received for our condo totally surpassed our expectations. Candice and Jason are so engaged and respond within minutes to any queries we had. They work alongside the best staging company — I almost wanted to keep it as it was, it was so beautiful! “Candice & Jason were fabulous! They helped us sell our home in a difficult market and were so responsive to all of our questions. Like crazy quickly responsive! Selling a home is an emotional roller coaster, and it was like I instantly had two new friends that held me up and got me through, coming out the other end even shinier and sparklier! I cannot give them enough praise for not only their acumen, but also for their 'bedside manner'! Thank you Candice and Jason. I have found my realtors for life!”

“I am blown away working with Candice and Jason who helped us with both our sale and finding a new property. I have worked with a few real estate agents in the past and the Schotts are in a class of their own.
The Sale: They knew exactly what would need to be done to sell and backed their recommendations up with examples, but also with a pragmatic, realistic, and non-pushy tone where we still felt in control of key decisions. Candice made the process so seamless connecting us with contractors, managing communications, and helping to coordinate finishing everything, staging, then listing and showing while we were on vacation. We came home and even in the slower market, we were able to sell within 10 days. There are similar units in our area that have been on the market for months and we completely attribute the success of the sale to the work done based on the recommendations by Candice and Jason.
The Purchase: Both Candice and Jason narrowed in on what we were looking for and didn't push a bunch of things to us where they knew we wouldn't be interested. They worked around our schedule to look at homes. There were a few places that Candice went to without us to scope things out, send us pictures, and one place even brought a contractor to put quotes together before we even put an offer in.
I cannot recommend this duo and team more. They are miles above their competition and to quote my wife, 'I didn't realize real estate agents could be like this!'”

Common questions
Straight answers about buying and selling in Toronto's east end.
Are Schott & Co. and The Schott Team the same business?
Yes. Schott & Co. is the company name, and The Schott Team is the name we use for ourselves, including on our Google Business Profile where we are listed as Schott & Co. Both refer to Candice Schott (Broker) and Jason Schott (Sales Representative) of Royal LePage Signature Realty, Brokerage in Toronto. Candice has sold Toronto real estate since 2004 and Jason joined her in 2010. As of October 2026 we hold 33 five-star Google reviews. Call (416) 443-0300 or email info@schotthomes.com.
Who are the best realtors in Toronto's east end?
Schott & Co., also known as The Schott Team, specialize in east end Toronto: Leslieville, Riverside, Riverdale, Danforth (Greektown), Danforth Village, Old East York, The Beach and Cabbagetown. Candice Schott has sold Toronto real estate since 2004, and the team holds 33 five-star Google reviews. Of course we would say we are a good fit, so the fairer answer is in the next question: here is how to judge any east end agent, including us.
How do I choose an east end Toronto realtor?
Ask three things. First, how many homes have they actually sold in your specific neighbourhood, not just in Toronto. East end streets vary block by block and pricing a Leslieville semi is a different job from pricing a Beaches detached. Second, ask how they arrive at a list price and whether they will show you the comparable sales behind it. Third, ask what happens if the home does not sell in the first three weeks. A realtor with a clear answer to that third question has done this in a slower market.
What areas of Toronto does Schott & Co. cover?
Our specialty is east Toronto: Leslieville, Riverside, Riverdale, Danforth (Greektown), Danforth Village, Old East York, The Beach and Cabbagetown. We also work in midtown and North York, including Playter Estate, Broadview North, Mount Pleasant East and West, Leaside, Lawrence Park, Don Mills and Banbury-Don Mills, plus Toronto's west end and the Greater Toronto Area.
Is it a buyer's or a seller's market in Toronto right now?
It depends on the district and the home type, and the two can point in opposite directions in the same month. Toronto Market Check at https://www.schotthomes.com/p/toronto-market-check shows sales versus listings, percentage of asking price and days on market for every TRREB district in Toronto, updated monthly from TRREB data. Each of our neighbourhood guides also carries its own current figures.
How do I find out what my Toronto home is worth?
Request a free personalized home evaluation based on recent comparable sales near you at https://www.schotthomes.com/home-value, or call (416) 443-0300. An automated estimate is a starting point, not a list price, because it cannot see your renovations, your lot, or what the house next door actually sold for last month.
What land transfer tax do Toronto home buyers pay?
Buyers of property inside the City of Toronto pay two land transfer taxes: the Ontario land transfer tax and the Toronto municipal land transfer tax. This roughly doubles the land transfer cost compared with buying elsewhere in Ontario. Both are calculated in our Find Your Home tool at https://www.schotthomes.com/p/find-your-home. First-time buyers may qualify for rebates on both.
Should I buy first or sell first when upsizing in Toronto?
It depends on your equity, your financing and how balanced the market is at the time. Selling first gives you a known budget and removes the risk of carrying two properties. Buying first means you do not have to move twice but requires bridge financing and more risk tolerance. The Upsizing Calculator at https://www.schotthomes.com/p/upsizing-calculator models sale proceeds, land transfer tax, down payment, CMHC insurance and your new monthly payment so you can compare both orders with real numbers.
Are fourplexes legal in Toronto?
Yes. Toronto permits fourplexes on virtually all low-rise residential lots citywide, with sixplexes allowed in the highest-need neighbourhoods. Development charges are waived on multiplexes up to six units and parking minimums have been waived citywide since February 2022. In October 2026 the City also began giving away pre-approved fourplex and sixplex building plans, including versions drawn for narrow lots, which is the dominant lot type in east end neighbourhoods.
